Leighton Holdings Limited has been a financial sponsor of CHERI since October 1997. Mr Dieter Adamsas, Leighton Holdings Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, attended CHERI's official launch in April 1998, and commented that, "By helping CHERI continue its outreach conference program, we are giving something back to the community and investing in Australia's future". Through their sponsorship, Leighton Holdings plays a significant part in making a difference to children with medical conditions and their families.
In 2003, in recognition of the support provided by Leighton Holdings, they were acknowledged as a Benefactor of CHERI and The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
CHERI has been extremely fortunate to have the continued support and commitment from Leighton Holdings. Their support has allowed us to provide valuable clinical services to children and their families, and to provide a comprehensive outreach conference program. Without the support of Leighton Holdings many of these activities would not be possible.
Leighton Holdings Limited is the parent company of Australia's largest contracting and project development group. Established 50 years ago, the organisation is a diverse and dynamic group which includes Leighton Contractors, Thiess Contractors, John Holland, Leighton Asia, Leighton Properties and Technical Resources. Leighton Group companies are involved in a range of activities such as mining and resources, engineering and infrastructure, building and property.
